Shauna Contreras

Research Assistant, Psychology Department

Shauna graduated from Princeton University in 2026 with a B.A. in Psychology and minors in Cognitive Science. Prior to joining the Nock Lab, her undergraduate research focused on investigating the cultural transmission of emotion regulation strategies via parenting styles. Her current research interests center around clinical psychology, particularly the cognitive, emotional, and interpersonal factors that contribute to risk for mental disorders and psychological distress. Outside of the lab, you can often find her either baking, singing, gaming, watching Asian dramas, or reading books!
