Graduate Student FRANCHESCA RAMIREZ Wins Prestigious FORD FELLOWSHIP!
The fellowship provides three years of support for individuals engaged in graduate study leading to a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Doctor of Science (Sc.D.) degree.
Predoctoral fellowships are awarded to approximately 4% of applicants in a national competition administered by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine on behalf of the Ford Foundation. The awards are made to individuals who, in the judgment of the review panels, have demonstrated superior academic achievement, are committed to a career in teaching and research at the college or university level, show promise of future achievement as scholars and teachers, and are well prepared to use diversity as a resource for enriching the education of all students.

Each year, GSAS chooses eight outstanding Ph.D. candidates as Harvard Horizons Scholars, and these talented students receive targeted mentoring and coaching designed to enhance their presentation skills.Marie-Christine will deliver a talk about her research, "Facing Change: A Training Program to Help Our Patients Rebuild Their Sense of Self", at the Harvard Horizons Symposium on April 11, 2018, at 4:30 p.m. in Sanders Theatre.
