Raquel Aguilar

Raquel Aguilar graduated from the University of Tampa in 2024 with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice. Prior to joining the Nock Lab, she worked as an undergraduate research assistant in the Memory Lab and the Orban Lab, conducting research on memory, executive function, and ADHD in adolescents. She also completed internships in psychological assessment and autism intervention, gaining experience in clinical assessment research and applied behavioral education. Raquel’s research interests include suicide prevention, self-harm, global mental health, and treatment-seeking behaviors, with a particular interest in understanding the cognitive and psychosocial factors that contribute to suicide risk. She hopes to contribute to research that advances suicide prevention strategies and improves access to evidence-based, equitable mental health care. Outside of the lab, Raquel enjoys baking, cooking, biking around Boston, and spending time with loved ones.
