Katie Gebbia
Research Assistant, Psychology Department
Katie Gebbia graduated from Vassar College in 2024 with a B.A. in Psychological Science and English. Prior to joining the Nock Lab, she was involved with social and developmental research regarding negotiation during play, barriers to help-seeking in virtual settings, and other language-centric projects. Her research interests include exploring the intersection of clinical psychology, linguistics, and sociology to understand how language associated with mental illness evolves among social groups, and subsequently how interventions can be adapted to serve continually changing speech across in-person and online communities. Outside the lab, Katie loves reading, hiking, and playing the piano.
