Felipe Herrmann

Felipe Herrmann is a doctoral candidate at Harvard University, advised by Dr. Matthew Nock. Before Harvard, he spent a year in Madrid, Spain, as a Fulbright Research Scholar at Fundación Jiménez Díaz and the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. His research examines the mechanisms underlying contemplative practices and explores how psychedelic use affects suicide risk and psychopathology. He currently enjoys learning about different methods, including modeling intensive longitudinal data, applying machine learning to prediction problems, leveraging large language models to analyze natural language, and using causal inference methods with observational data. In his free time, he meditates, goes on walks, watches soccer, and jokes around with friends and family.
