Yaniv Yacoby
Yaniv Yacoby is a postdoctoral fellow at the Nock Lab, where he develops machine learning methodology to help advance the understanding, prediction, and prevention of suicide and related behaviors. He is especially interested in developing new ways of incorporating clinical expertise into complex (deep) Bayesian latent variable models that can advance clinician-AI collaboration. In the summer of 2024, he’ll be joining Wellesley College as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science. Yaniv completed my Ph.D. in Machine Learning at the Data to Actionable Knowledge Lab (DtAK) at Harvard, working with Professor Finale Doshi-Velez. He received a Master’s of Music in Contemporary Improvisation from the New England Conservatory (2016) and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Computer Science from Harvard University (2015).
